An Arsonists’ Guide to Writers’ Homes in New England by Brock Clarke

Brock Clarke (author of One Story #76, “What is the Cure for Meanness?”) has just published a new novel, The Arsonists’ Guide to Writers’ Homes in New England. You may remember some of the press that covered the publicity campaign for this book. Apparently some people were nervous that Brock Clarke was actually going to be burning down writers’ homes. No worries, dear readers–our New England writers’ homes are safe! And Publisher’s Weekly changed their tune and gave the book this starred review:

“[A] delightfully dark story of Sam Pulsifer, the ‘accidental arsonist and murderer’ narrator who leads readers through a multilayered, flame-filled adventure about literature, lies, love and life…. Sam is equal parts fall guy and tour guide in this bighearted and wily jolt to the American literary legacy.”
