Together with the Talve-Goodman Family, One Story is pleased to announce the Adina Talve-Goodman Fellowship. This educational fellowship will offer a year-long mentorship on the craft of fiction writing with One Story magazine. Our goal is to support an emerging writer whose work speaks to issues and experiences related to inhabiting bodies of difference. This means writing that explores being in a body marked by difference, oppression, violence, or exclusion; often through categories of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, religion, illness, disability, trauma, migration, displacement, dispossession, or imprisonment. In this way, we hope to give someone outside the fold a significant boost in their career.
One Story is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) not-for-profit literary organization, dedicated to celebrating the art form of the short story and supporting the writers who write them, through publication, education, and mentorship. All donations to One Story (and the Adina Talve-Goodman Fellowship) are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Donations of $100 or more will be acknowledged in One Story and One Teen Story for a year.
If you have any questions about the fellowship, please write to.
